
The International Symposium on AI in Education, organised by the Global Forum for Teacher Educators (GFTE), brought together education leaders and researchers from around the world to explore the theme “AI, Ethics, and Humanism in Education.” The symposium focused on the role of artificial intelligence in shaping future education systems while maintaining human-centred values.
Professor Lampros Stergioulas participated as an invited keynote speaker, presenting insights from UNESCO-related work on humane AI innovation for addressing global challenges in education. His contribution highlighted the importance of ethical frameworks, inclusivity, and responsible design in the adoption of AI technologies in educational contexts. The event featured extensive international participation and fostered active dialogue on human-centred AI futures in education.
